t-minus one!

my last full day here, and it is like an oven in New York. so hot and stuffy and been feeling really lethargic. all the outdoor things i had thought i would do (go to chinatown and pick up some house slippers...some grocery shopping) didn't end up happening because of the heat. i leave for my flight tomorrow evening with a little layover in Rome before landing in Istanbul the next afternoon.

last things to do before i go include:

+ finishing downloading Season 2 of LOST on my iPod
+ de-packing (i'm not going to take as much as i planned)
+ last minute business matters that would be much easier to take care of here than there
+ sending CUT+PASTE emails and updates...i may be without internet for a week while it gets set up at the new place. imagine that!
+ go buy some boxes of Mac and Cheese
+ playing with Lola (who is actually now asleep)
+ NEED TO CANCEL CELL PHONE!

other than that, i think i'm ready to go! nervous and excited!!
